JPC is an PC emulator written entirely in 86 x Java. JPC creates a virtual machine on which you can install the preferred operating system in a safe, flexible and powerful. The mobile version of CPM will only run on the latest and greatest smartphones (Java enabled) (PDA also make good candidates for mobile CPM). We were lucky with the Nokia N95, but other high end phones with Java could work well.
In order to fit in the sandbox CPM a mobile phone, we had to paralyze him compared with the version of J2SE. This, combined with the much lower power of a phone compared to a desktop computer, it means that the MPC will run much slower than a desktop computer.
As a bonus, CPM gives a few practical side effects:

Fundamentally different mobile devices contain x86 PC hardware, but they all run Java! CPM makes it possible to make legacy software, particularly DOS applications, and runs on handheld devices without the need for retyping.
For example below original CPM FreeDOS booted and started the original Mario Bros. game software thinks you have a Pentium II processor and disk drive when in fact execution on a Nokia N95 mobile phone with an ARM cpu 11 Flash memory!

Mobile business needs freedom but maintain data integrity, security and backups are becoming more complex as an organization grows. Centralizing data on server and allow users to stay PC access through terminals “dumb” is a popular solution, but their scale is limited to the server’s ability to manage parallel sessions.
With more powerful devices such as netbooks / UMPC, CPM can run processor-intensive work on the mobile device and the server need only send and receive data when needed. A single server can therefore support many more users in parallel, and how state data is easy to replicate the entire mobile workforce can be fitted with a “hot” system fail-over effects. This backup server might be in a completely different data center if necessary, and so CPM could provide a key component for disaster recovery in the final.
